Empowering Young Futures with Credible Messengers

Who We Are

Pathways Education Project is a social enterprise dedicated to fostering life skills that bridge academic learning, personal development, and emotional wellbeing.  We deliver PSHE workshops, mentoring, and social and emotional learning (SEL) programmes to schools, local authorities, and communities, supporting young people to build confidence, resilience, and the skills they need to make positive choices in education and beyond.

Many young people face barriers that are not always visible in the classroom — including instability at home, emotional distress, social pressure, or a lack of positive role models. Pathways was created to help bridge that gap.

Our programmes are led by credible messengers with lived experience of adversity, enabling them to connect authentically with the young people they support. By combining professional expertise with real-world insight, we provide guidance that is both relatable and impactful.​​

At the heart of our model is the use of credible messengers — trained practitioners with lived experience of overcoming challenges similar to those faced by the young people they support.  Authenticity which allows us to build trust quickly, engage meaningfully,, and deliver guidance that genuinely resonates.

Why Our Approach Works

At Pathways Education Project, our vision, mission and values are more than words — they guide everything we do. Every young person who walks through a school door, joins a mentoring programme, or participates in one of our PSHE workshops is supported to develop the life skills, emotional intelligence, and resilience they need to thrive.

By combining evidence-based Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) with credible messenger mentoring, multi-agency collaborations, and practical, real-world experiences, we help young people make safer, more informed decisions, build positive relationships, and engage confidently with education and their communities.

This approach ensures that our work not only addresses immediate challenges — such as school transitions or behavioural difficulties — but also prepares young people for long-term success, creating ripple effects that strengthen families, schools, and local communities.
