​​​​​Legal Literacy Workshops - Helping Young People To Make Informed Choices

 

​​Our specialist PSHE workshops are bolstered by our role as a delivery partner in the 'Your Life You Choose' (YLYC) project.  An award-winning multi-agency project that delivers high-impact crime diversion modules to Year 7 students in London.  ​

​

As  part of a unified front (alongside inclusion officers, emergency services, legal professionals and community organisations/charities/foundations) that educates Year 7 students, we bridge the gap between legal theory and reality.  Our crime diversion workshops — rooted in both lived-experience and legal literacy — break down concepts that are often misunderstood by young people, in particular we address:​

  • Joint Enterprise Awareness: Breaking down the legal realities of group liability and guilt by association.

  • Consequence Mapping: Helping students understand the long-term impact of a criminal record

Understanding the real-life consequences of crime is crucial to empowering young people to make informed, positive choices.  This multi-agency project ensures that young people receive a comprehensive education in criminal justice, personal safety and positive decision-making.  â€‹
